thedead1440juiceme: I remember now why i had pinged you... I wanted to ask on the pwr_key thing for boot reason08:33
thedead1440yesterday my battery ran out but i switched off my device at 4% left08:34
thedead1440when i plugged in my wall charger, the phone didn't boot up but i used the power button to boot up08:34
thedead1440it went to the telnet repair console instead of going to the boot menu08:34
thedead1440so I think something should be added that if a wall charger is connected it goes to boot menu or at least offers the option instead of just being in telnet08:35
thedead1440for my case i took out the charger, chose Harmattan and at the first sign of the boot animation I plugged in my wall charger08:36
@juicemehi09:07
@juicemeyes, that is the intention... I meant to test yesterday how my bootmode fix works with wall charger but had so much to do in the evening I promptly forgot about it... :(09:08
@juicemeDid you apply the fix I posted yesterday about the pwr_key handling?09:10
thedead1440nope haven't applied it yet as from what I understand if the bootreason is pwr_key it'll boot into telnet instead of Harmattan right?09:16
@juicemehow it works (or should work), is that if bootreason=pwr_key, it will boot to console if cable is connected, and to normal menu if cable is not connected. (just as it currently does)09:23
@juicemehowever, if bootreason=usb or bootreason=rtc, it will boot right away to Harmattan, without menu or console.09:24
@juicemeThis is an attempt to fix the problems that device starts up for other reasons than pressing the power key.09:25
thedead1440ah ok09:25
thedead1440i'll apply it then09:25
@juicemeto sum it up, no change in bootup if you just turn it on byu power button.09:26
@juicemeone thing missing, though.... I just posted the fix you need to put in your init.09:26
@juicemeYou need the script select_default_os.sh also09:27
@juicemeI'll update it to swgman now.09:27
thedead1440thanks!09:27
thedead1440i'll update it on my device in a few hours once home so take your time with it :D09:28
@juicemedone.09:29
@juicemedownload select_default_os.sh and put it into your ubiboot FS /boot/menu/ and make it executable.09:30
thedead1440ok09:30
@juicemereally simple script, actually I could have made it part of the init but I thought of maybe adding something to it later...09:31
